Origins of the Owl
We started brewing our own cold brew out of necessity. After graduating from college, both Jeremy and I ended up in the oil patch where coffee options are few and far between. In need of relief during the long hot days, homebrewed cold brew quickly became a staple.
Wide Eyed Cold Brew was born when we realized that in spite of moving back to the civilized world, we were still brewing our own cold brew. The brews we now sell are the products of hundreds of experiments testing variables ranging from coffee type to aging and exposure times, and everything in between.
Ultimately we created two custom blends of coffee beans from South and Central America and use a unique double extraction method giving Wide Eyed Cold Brew a more nuanced, less acidic flavor profile when compared to other cold brews currently on the market.
